Nigeria is being added to the list of eligible countries for monetizing content on Meta platforms, including Facebook and Instagram, starting in June 2024 .
This development follows the success of Meta’s “Ads on Reels” program and the company’s recognition of the growing creator economy in Nigeria.
The move is expected to benefit Nigerian content creators, who will be able to earn money through ads and other features on the platforms.
Additionally, the move is seen as a significant investment in the African creator economy, with Nigeria and Kenya being the first countries in the region to be included in the program.
